Vesperteen is back with his new single “Operate”. Opening with sparse production, Vesperteen’s vocals drive the verse with a mellow morbidity as the groove builds around his careful croon. As his voice sails into a falsetto, the beat shifts towards a pulsing rhythm that has a retro-yet-fresh feeling carrying that vibe into the chorus. It’s a powerful and anthemic chorus that I can immediately image being sung by a room full of people at a show.
