WFNM Roundup #15 – The Bad Dreamers, nicopop., Steven Romero, FATESKY
The third single from The Bad Dreamers, “California Winter” is atmospheric and awesomely retro. After years of writing and producing songs with artists like P!nk, John Legend, New Politics and many others, Schuler stumbled into a bit of unexpected inspiration which lead to The Bad Dreamers. He needed music for his new short film The Offer, and began to write songs for it; the result was a flood of inspiration, so he chose to keep writing and record an album. Inspired by Tears For Fears and Depeche Mode, The Bad Dreamers carries a nostalgic vibe that can be potently felt.
nicopop. is here with his second single “Start Again” featuring Tyler Mann. Vibing with an energy inspired by nostalgia, memes, and pop culture, this song is perfect for late-night drives with the windows down.
Steven Romero’s second release “Boyfriend” carries compelling songwriting & a strong pop sensibility. A solid single from a songwriter who has collaborated with hit-writers such as Neon Hitch (Kesha’s “Blah Blah Blah”), Tiffany Fred (Zendaya’s “Replay”), Candy Shields (Fifth Harmony’s “Sauced Up”; Galantis’ “True Feeling”), and Myah Marie (Britney Spears’ “Body Ache”).
FATESKY is here for tech/bass house fans with his new track, “Lucifer”. Gritty, energetic, and disquieting, this is the track you’re sure to hear at that awesome neon club you don’t entirely remember going to.
