WFNM Roundup #19 – Restless Modern, Delia Dane, CLN, Super Duper
Restless Modern continues to put out great singles and “Totaled” is no exception. Disquieting and dark, the track builds around a constant arpeggio as his voice cuts through, supported by a gritty base line. Blackbear-esque, it’s driven by intense vocals and intriguing production. It’s an impressive single in a long line of impressive singles and I can’t wait to hear what comes next!
Delia Dane’s new single “Kinda Nice” is mellow and retro in a way that keeps you floating in a calm haze. Her voice sails above it all, rhythmic but gentle, gliding effortlessly over 808’s and lush synths. Delia Dane’s an artist I’ll be sure to keep an eye on from here on out!
CLN has just released his new single “Own Skin”. Mellow and vibey, CLN’s voice croons through vocal effects and sparse production. A song for the quiet nights and calm drives.
“Horizons” by Super Duper is both atmospheric and rhythmic, driving along with minimal percussion and really cool vocal chops. Easy to groove to, but also nostalgic in a way that gets under your skin, this carries you along in a dreamy haze from start to finish.
