I live with two people – both band mates. The second one is the most wonderful French man – funkiest bass player in the land. He is obsessed (and i’ve never understood why) with Robyn. The cute blonde that sports the Swedish flag and makes beautiful indie pop music.
I’ve just been blessed with this beautiful EP by Zealyn; USA’s answer to the Robyn-type pop star – this girl is incredible. Production values – top 10. Songwriting – top 10. Billboard 2017 – top 10.
This girl has it.
The ethereal RnB tinged productions, check; the innocent yet yearning vocals, check; the context of a great, mind-altering EP, check.
I’m thrown back by the listen of this and have to admit, if there’s stuff undiscovered like this out there, then there’s living proof that the world still turns, brightly and beautifully, just like Zealyn.
